Join a Labour Day event near you to celebrate the strength and solidarity of the labour movement and the working class!
In celebration of Labour Day, labour councils are organizing events all around the province, both virtually and in-person, from marches and car caravans to drive-in movies and concerts, poster making contests, zoom gatherings and more! There are also labour canvases for Federal NDP Candidates happening this long weekend. Join a canvas and help in getting the vote out for a labour friendly government – the NDP. We need as many labour leaders and affiliate members as possible to join in local riding canvasses to help elect progressive candidates in target ridings.
Let’s make sure people understand why we need a change to a government that prioritizes climate and environmental issues, protections for long-term care residents and workers, healthcare workers, pharmacare, paid sick days, gig workers, good jobs, rights for racialized, Indigenous and 2SLGBTQI+ folx, injured workers – for working people.
